Questions you should ask and
items to be clear about regarding your potential Forever Friend:
Pointers are a wonderful breed that makes extraordinarily great
pets. Pointers are a healthy
long-lived breed often living to 14-15 years of age.
They tend to be very sweet, soft dogs who make great pets,
performance dogs, hunting companions and compassionate, loving therapy
dogs. Breeders occasionally
have adult dogs to place for a variety of reasons.
Some dogs simply don’t have the attitude to be show dogs, some
have misaligned teeth, undescended testicles or some other minor issue
that would not affect the life of the dog as a pet, but makes them
unable to show or be bred.
Often when breeders have multiple dogs, they want to give each dog the
best life possible.
Sometimes, placing a dog with a family gives the dog more attention and
less stress than living as a part of a pack.
